This Return & Refund Policy applies to consumer orders placed directly through BuyKuKirin.com and delivered within the United Kingdom.
Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any mandatory consumer rights or remedies available under applicable UK law.
1. Returns at a Glance
- Change-of-mind cancellation: You may cancel from the date the order is placed until 14 days after delivery.
- Return deadline: After notifying us, return the product within a further 14 days.
- Return method: Contact us before sending the product and follow the return instructions provided.
- Change-of-mind return cost: You are responsible for the actual direct return shipping cost.
- Faulty, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed goods: We will cover the reasonable cost of an approved return or collection when the claim is accepted.
- Restocking fee: None.
- Exchanges: We do not offer direct change-of-mind exchanges. A replacement may be provided as a remedy for an accepted product claim.
- Refund method: Refunds are issued to the original payment method unless another method is expressly agreed.
2. How to Request a Return
Contact us before sending any scooter, battery, charger or component.
Please provide:
- Your order number
- The email address used at checkout
- The product model
- The reason for the return
- Photos or a short video where relevant
- The serial number or product label where available
After reviewing your request, we will provide the correct return address, packaging requirements and transport instructions.
Do not return a product to an address shown on a parcel label, invoice, payment record or previous return unless that address has been confirmed in writing for your return.
3. Change-of-Mind Returns
For an eligible UK consumer distance order, you may cancel without giving a reason by notifying us no later than 14 days after delivery.
After notifying us, return the product within a further 14 days.
You may inspect the product only as reasonably necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and basic operation, as you would reasonably inspect it in a physical shop.
Where permitted by law, a reasonable deduction may be made if handling or use beyond reasonable inspection has reduced the product’s value.
Return Condition
Return the product with:
- The charger and all included accessories
- Keys, tools and manuals supplied with the product
- Any promotional items supplied with the order
- The original packaging where reasonably available
- No unauthorised modification, disassembly or repair
Missing original packaging does not automatically remove a statutory cancellation right. The product must still be packaged safely and adequately for return transport.
Return Cost
For a non-faulty change-of-mind return, you are responsible for the actual direct return shipping cost unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Electric scooters may require specialist transport because of their size, weight and battery. Contact us before arranging a return. We do not charge a fixed return fee or restocking fee.
4. Faulty, Damaged, Incorrect or Misdescribed Goods
Contact us promptly if the product:
- Arrives damaged or incomplete
- Is faulty or unsafe
- Is not as described
- Is the wrong model or regional version
- Is missing an included item
- Does not otherwise conform to the purchase contract
Keep the product, packaging and shipping label while the issue is reviewed. We may request photos, video, serial information, visible error messages or reasonable troubleshooting information.
Where the Consumer Rights Act 2015 applies, the short-term right to reject goods that do not conform to the contract normally lasts 30 days from delivery.
After the short-term right to reject has ended, repair or replacement will usually be the first statutory remedy. A price reduction or final right to reject may be available where the applicable conditions are met.
For an accepted claim, we will cover the reasonable cost of the approved return or collection method. Do not arrange or pay for return transport without written approval.
5. Transit Damage and Missing Items
Contact us promptly if a parcel arrives visibly damaged, opened, incomplete or contains the wrong product.
Please provide:
- Your order number
- Photos of the outer packaging
- Photos of the shipping label
- Photos or video of the product and affected area
- A list of any missing items
Keep the product and packaging until we confirm that they are no longer required.
6. Return Transport and Batteries
Electric scooters and lithium batteries are subject to carrier and transport restrictions. Follow the written return instructions provided to you.
Do not:
- Use an unapproved postal or courier service
- Send a battery separately unless instructed
- Use air mail for a scooter or battery
- Remove or conceal required transport labels
- Send the product without suitable protective packaging
If a battery appears swollen, leaking, overheating or visibly damaged, stop using and charging the product and contact us before arranging transport.
7. Refunds
Change-of-Mind Returns
For an eligible change-of-mind cancellation, the refund includes the product price and the standard outbound delivery charge where required by law.
You remain responsible for the direct return shipping cost. Any additional amount paid for an enhanced or premium delivery option is not refundable beyond the cost of standard delivery.
Where permitted by law, a reasonable deduction may be made for:
- Handling or use beyond reasonable inspection
- Missing included parts or accessories
- Avoidable damage occurring after delivery
- Damage caused by inadequate return packaging
Faulty, Damaged, Incorrect or Misdescribed Goods
Where a claim is accepted, the available remedy may include repair, replacement, price reduction or refund, depending on the circumstances and your statutory rights.
Where a refund is the appropriate remedy, the eligible amount will be refunded and we will cover the reasonable cost of the approved return or collection method.
No restocking fee is charged.
8. Refund Processing
Returned products may be inspected to confirm their condition and whether any lawful deduction applies.
Approved refunds are normally processed within 5 business days after the returned product has been received and inspected.
For an eligible change-of-mind cancellation, the refund will be issued no later than 14 calendar days after the earlier of:
- The date we receive the returned product
- The date we receive acceptable evidence that the product has been returned
Where permitted by law, we may withhold the refund until we receive the returned product or acceptable evidence that it has been returned.
Where a refund is due for faulty, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed goods, it will be issued without undue delay after entitlement to the refund has been confirmed.
Refunds are issued to the original payment method unless another method is expressly agreed. We do not charge a fee for issuing an approved refund.
After a refund has been issued, your bank or payment provider may require additional time to display the funds.
9. Cancellation Before Dispatch
Contact us as soon as possible if you wish to cancel or change an order before dispatch.
A full cancellation and refund can normally be completed before the order has been handed to the carrier.
Cancellation or amendment cannot be guaranteed after dispatch. If the order has already been shipped, it may need to be received and returned through the normal return process.
10. Refused and Undeliverable Parcels
Do not refuse delivery unless instructed by us.
If a parcel is returned because of an incorrect address, unavailable recipient, refused delivery or unsuccessful delivery attempts, we will cover the return-to-sender cost.
Once the parcel has returned and been inspected, you may choose either:
- One free reshipment to a confirmed eligible UK delivery address
- A refund to the original payment method
The free reshipment option is available once per order.
11. Orders from Other Sellers
This policy applies only to orders placed directly through BuyKuKirin.com.
For products purchased through a marketplace, retailer or another website, contact the seller shown on the original order confirmation.
